The Artist Eye Project
This innovative visual installation investigates themes of perception, identity, and the act of observation through a layered artistic process. The project begins with a series of high-resolution images capturing the artist's eye from multiple angles and perspectives. These images are then carefully curated and organized to reconstruct the visual complexity of an eye—an organ often regarded as a window to the soul.
The final work is composed of nine individual panels, each containing segments of the eye's imagery. When installed together on a window, these panels form a cohesive, enlarged representation of an eye, inviting viewers to engage with the work as a unified entity. The use of multiple panels not only adds a dynamic dimensionality but also emphasizes the fragmented yet interconnected nature of perception and self-awareness.
Positioned on a window, this installation transforms the transparent surface into a canvas that interacts with the surrounding environment. The work aims to provoke contemplation about how we see ourselves and others, and how different perspectives shape our understanding of identity, community and collaboration. Ultimately, this installation becomes a reflective mirror—both literal and metaphorical—challenging viewers to consider the multifaceted nature of perception, the power of observation, and the value of collaborative engagement.
