Róisín Carey

Róisín Carey is an multidisciplinary visual artist, illustrator and tattoo artist. Born in Dublin to Irish and Taiwanese parents, she went on to attend university abroad, at Unesp in São Paulo state, Brazil for Visual Arts and through the influence of her cultural heritage and travel, her work is imbued with an affinity for folklore, whimsical elements and storytelling, and her practice focuses largely on themes of solitude, dreams, gender and the natural world which she explores through the use of various mediums in the creation of art, illustration and the practice of tattooing.
