Lainey Castro

Lainey is a skilled Brazilian tattoo artist, visual artist, and stylist. With a rich background as a stylist, she moved from Brazil to Ireland nine years ago, igniting her artistic journey.

With brushes, pens and needles in hand, she brings imaginary landscapes to life, blending the elements of the earth with paint. Lainey finds inspiration in nature, adding abstract elements to her work to remove any limits from her creations. Embracing tattooing four and a half years ago, Lainey excels in Abstract Nature, Line work and Blackwork freehand style, using ink as her boundless form of expression.

As a visual artist, she draws influence from the natural environment - discovering branches, leaves, seeds, bones and fabric material to create art out of otherwise discarded items. In her work, she also brings the language of the body and materials into play, expressing the fluid connection between humans and nature.

Lainey plays a vital role in creating elements for installations, embodying the beauty of the interaction between the self and the environment.
