Grace McEvoy

Grace McEvoy is a multifaceted creative producer, curator, and visual artist based in Dublin, Ireland.

Grace holds a Joint B.A. (Hons) Degree in Fine Art and History of Art from The National College of Art & Design, graduating in 2010. Over the past 15 years, Grace has co-founded and developed a number of large-scale arts, community, and cultural projects alongside her artistic practice.

As a co-founder of one of Ireland's largest artist-run studio spaces and galleries, originally called BLOCK T and now known as FLUX Dublin, she curated and produced numerous events, exhibitions, and programmes over six years in collaboration with a wide array of artists, performers, educators, and creatives. In 2014, she was shortlisted for the prestigious Sky Arts Academy Scholarship, which recognised her visionary approach to curatorial work at the intersection of digital art and public display. She has exhibited in group shows with Basic Space, Catalyst Arts (Belfast), BLOCK T, Monster Truck, Gallery X, and a variety of online or net art galleries, most notably with Fach & Asendorf Gallery at the Museum of Moving Image in New York.

Her artistic explorations often center on liminal spaces, examining the nuances and phenomenology of both physical and non-physical realms. Currently, she focuses on themes of mysticism, archetypes, and the enigmatic nature of the otherworldly. Her work is driven by a curiosity about the mysterious and the unseen, as she seeks to reveal the hidden forces that influence our understanding of the world. Recently, she has deepened her understanding through a diploma in Consciousness Studies from the Jungian Centre Dublin and training in Native American and Celtic indigenous practices at The Temple of Éiriú. With a strong passion for exploring psychic senses, alchemy, and our inner landscapes, she continues her studies at the Spiritual Arts Academy under the guidance of Joseph Holzer. Her path has taken her on many adventures around the world where all of these threads of interests weave her life into a rich tapestry from which she draws in her current work.

In addition to her artistic practice and research, Grace serves as the Creative and Managing Director of Culture Date with Dublin 8, a neighborhood initiative that celebrates the culture, history, and architectural heritage of Dublin 8. She firmly believes that the arts, along with our culture, history, and heritage, are essential for understanding our identity and serve as guiding principles for navigating our future.
