Claire Callinan
Claire Callinan is a Dublin-based visual artist, working mainly in oil painting and linoleum printing. Claire studied Fine Art Media at NCAD; completed a diploma in Graphic Design with the UCD Professional Academy and most recently completed the Painting Resolution course with the RHA. Claire’s current body of work tackles our personal loss of innocence as we transition from childhood into adulthood and inevitability our inability to reclaim it. She looks at the loss of memory as one ages or develops dementia and often reverts to childlike tendencies, instead this time, with a layer of decay as opposed to innocence.
