Nara studied millinery in 2021 at Kensington and Chelsea college, on
their highly respected HNC course, and now has a studio at La Catedral
Studios in their Back Loft, where she makes her hats and headpieces.

Before the events of 2020 Nara had been working as a cabaret singer,
travelling the world, entertaining audiences, and wearing glamorous
clothes (and hats!) for a living. During this time she realised that
she wanted to be able to make the hats herself! She had taken a ‘short
course’ in millinery around ten years ago at Walthamstow College, and
when the events of 2020 put her performance career on hold, she
returned to her love of all things hat-making related!

In the short time since her training, Nara has won the ‘Most
innovative use of felt’ award from the Feltmakers Guild, sold her
creations at the Fenwick’s department store in London, had a hat
displayed at Royal Ascot Ladies Day, been featured in numerous hat
magazines, and made a hats for an opera production and for cabaret
performers.

Nara is available to create bespoke headpieces for all occasions, from
a glamorous fascinator for a day out at the races, to a Mother of the
Bride headpiece, or even a casual winter hat. She believes that
getting a bespoke hat, designed to suit you, matched to your dress or
accessories, and made to measure, is the best way to feel confident
and fabulous in your headpiece!
