This will include a 5 day “Intro to Life Casting & Silicone prosthetics” from 1st- 4th April followed by a 5 day “Advanced life casting to prosthetic workshop” from the 1st to 8th 2014.

Breakdown for the week – Wenesday 8th to Sunday 12th April 2014:
The group will be split into pairs so that partners can life cast, as well as apply to each other on the final day.Hours : 9.30 am to 6pm (30 minute lunch break)We have secured major sponsorship for this course and are passing on these savings to our students.COST : €1,495. Intro To Life Casting & Silicone Prosthetics €995 (Dublin)

- Day 1 : BASIC LIFECASTING – FRONT OF THE FACE – CREATING A STONE POSITIVE TO SCULPT UPON.
- Day 2 : INTRO TO DESIGN AND CONCEPT – INTRO TO SCULPTING.
- Day 3 : SCULPTING.
- Day 4 : INTRO TO MOLD MAKING – DEMOLD AND CASTING.
- Day 5 : APPLICATION AND PHOTOS.

We will supply all materials and airbrushes for the duration of the workshop but you will need to bring some wooden sculpting tools, art brushes, baby wipes and towels. We recommend you wear old clothes as is a messy process

Bryan “Tate” Steinsiek is an American SFX and prosthetic make-up artist best known for his appearances in Seasons One and Five of the SyFy series “ Face Off” in which groups of prosthetic make-up artists compete against each other in order to create the most amazing prostheses such as those found in the very best of both science fiction and horror movies.
Steinsiek has worked on special effects and make-up for numerous films and television series such as Law and Order, Clash of the Gods, Zombie Honeymoon, The Amazing Spider-Man and Sharknado 2: The Second One
Through his ability and professionalism he has also provided special effects prosthetic make-up and prop fabrication work for many clients such as The Jim Henderson Company, Dreamworks, NBC, HBO, and Xbox.
He has also just finished directing his own movie “Dynamite – A Cautionary Tale” starring the Irish actress Evanna Lynch who starred as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies.
